Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine

Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine is a higher education institution located in Liverpool, United Kingdom. Established in 1898, it was the first institution in the world dedicated to research and teaching in tropical medicine field.

The school approached us as they wanted to create an online teaching learning community with virtual learning resources, downloads and forums functionality to name a few.

The build itself was a complex one, we opted to use WordPress and BuddyPress to create a solid base for user registration and management. A custom theme was created to give a strong look and intuitive UI. Custom plugins were then created to extend functionality and enable LSTM to manage and share the important information to it’s user base.
